The Tumble Tots organisation has a national network of activity groups for children under 7. These groups are run by trained staff and they aim, through structured activities, to develop motor skills in young children, including those with motor difficulties.
Both the Halliwick and Tumble Tots approaches are beneficial to all young children and can therefore be seen as educationally and socially inclusive.
There are many opportunities for children to comprehend quantities by seeing collections of definite numbers of things: 50 books, 100 pencils, 75 children on the platform, 90 tickets, a pile of 150 apples brought by the children as a Thanksgiving gift, and similar groups of known number.
