His Brother Claude: When Rene died in 150i Claude inherited the French fiefs of the houi of Lorraine, which included the courtships ( Guise and Aumale. He was created Duke d Guise by King Francis I in 1528.

On his way he stopped in Paris, where he visited the painter Louis Jacques Mande Daguerre, who was conducting research toward the same end: capturing the Camera image by "the spontaneous action of light."
