House Divided: Plants Suited for Greenhouse Culture. Greenhouse plants can be divided into two broad categories: those that need a warm nighttime temperature, and those that need a cool nighttime temperature. As desired, one can have a cool greenhouse ( 40-45 °F at night), a warm greenhouse, or hothouse (60-65°F at night), or a greenhouse divided into two temperature zones by the use of a glass or plastic partition.

GOOD EARTH, a novel by the American author Pearl Buck (q.v.), published in 1931. It was an immediate popular success, won the 1932 Pulitz-er Prize, and was instrumental in Pearl Buck's winning the Nobel Prize for literature in 1938. The Good Earth was followed by Sons (1932) and A House Divided (1935) to form the trilogy House of Earth, published in one volume in 1935.
