Sings Small Song:

Sings Small Song Domesticated: Available from aviaries or pet shops Description: Colors: mottled brown and white; mottled fawn and white; and pure white; pure whites are weak strain, often born blind; length 2% inches Voice: Male sings small Song inaudible to human ear; at same time spreads tail into wide Fan and performs small dance for his mate.

The rock thrush is so named because it frequents only rocky regions, with or without a few bushes or trees, in hilly or mountainous regions. It sings beautifully, the Song being loud but mellow and flutelike in quality. A close relative, the blue thrush (M. solitarius), extends somewhat farther east, to Japan and Malaya. It inhabits more arid regions from high mountains to sea coast.

One difference is that although the arts may support an exploration of moral truths and human relationships there is nothing intrinsically moral about the arts. In some instances one might argue that the arts hijack moral issues to make artistic impact. At a popular level the Lennon/McCartney Song 'She's leaving home' uses a moral theme of alienation between generations to create a mood. The Song might be used as a starting point to explore its theme, but in itself the Song does not move the hearer forward. At the level of 'high' culture, the same may be said of Handel's Messiah*.
